My family and I absolutely love cruising! Our son, Jaydon, has been on 12 cruises and counting and we have been on 28 cruises and counting. We have our next family cruise scheduled for Spring Break 2024 with Norwegian Cruise Line on their newest ship, the Norwegian Viva! We will port out of San Juan, Puerto and visit some amazing island. This cruise has 7 Ports of Call!

Let's get back to the post! Because we have cruised so much, we have collected some must haves that we believe are REQUIRED when you are cruising with a family. I will share the top 10 must have for family cruising from Amazon. They are not in order of importance.

2. Get an over the door shoe organizer for the bathroom door and thank me later! Those cruise rooms can be a bit small. These are great to hold your toiletries and to have the items low enough for the children to reach their own things. 4. A non-surge power strip is a must for families going on cruises. There are only one or two outlets in the cruise room and we have so many things to charge! 5. The next two are for the kiddos! I will actually do a separate posting on what to pack for kids traveling on a cruise. There are shops on cruise ships but the options will be quite limited; especially for kids. We always pack medicine for our son. Even if you can find it on the ship, it will be quite expensive. 7. Packing Cubes! I love packing cubes as it keeps me organized. It is great for children and adults, but I really think it is essential for children. We put the entire cube in the drawer and it keeps my son organized for the entire trip. 8. I don't know about you, but we travel with so many different electronics! 9. I would recommend checking your bags with the potters but to bring at least one carry-on with you. We normally pack a change of clothes, swim suits, chargers and toiletries in the carry on. Sometimes, it can take a while to get your luggage to your room. 10. Finally, something that is just cute to have is a passport cover. I found that it is great for photos and doesn't cost a whole lot. For most cruise lines, you do not need a passport, BUT it is highly recommended that you have a passport.
